Sideways

The character development in Sideways seems to effect the emotional tone of the character on the island.  Especially with the Ben this week; but also with Killer Sayid last week.

Ben and his Leader issues.  Takes the power away from the principal but let's him keep the title. Just like the Napoleon story he was telling at the start.

Ben and his dad have a better relationship.  And they joined DHARMA but left the island.  Interesting.

Alex.  Ben is a father figure to her and chooses her this time instead of himself.

"You had me fooled with those sweater vests, you are a Killer Linus!" - Artz after Ben tells him he is going to take down the principal.

ISLAND

To the Beach!

When Ben rejoins the party Illana only cares about Sayid's safety.  She only cares about protecting the REMAINING candidates.  Out of HOW MANY -- the entire list and only 6 remain?

Ash used to determine Jacob's last thoughts and Killer.

"Jacob was the closest thing I had to a father" - Illana

Even Illana doesn't know if it is Sun or Jin Kwon.

Richard says Jacob's touch is a curse not a gift and that he can't kill himself.

Came to the island in chains on the Black Rock.

Wants Jack to kill him.  Jack can't kill himself either.  Like Michael?

"Wanna try another stick?" - Jack to Richard

On the Beach. Illana is pissed at Ben and makes him dig his own grave. 

Miles digs up Nikki and Paulo's diamonds.

"The island still got you" Ben to Frank.

Jacob was hoping he was wrong about Ben.

Locke wants to make Ben the new leader?  Did he just say that because he knows that's what Ben wants?

SLOW MO ENDING.  NO JIN?
