One for the Money
Janet Evanovich
This was another simple story that is stretched out into an entire book.
Likes:
The main character’s wardrobe. Hot.
The main character didn’t sleep with the protagonist (Joe).
The main character is clueless but stubborn.
Dislikes:
The writing. There were scenes that were painfully detailed for no apparent reason. Usually they happened when nothing was going on - when Stephanie Plum arrived home and took a shower or waited in her car for a suspect to come out.
The story was just one case. Pretty simple. Kinda boring.
Not gonna read any more.
Next up: Duma Key by Stephen King
I already started reading this book and, I have to say, after reading the books we’ve read so far this year... reading Stephen King is like a warm hug. His language is extraordinary. It is filled with emotion, color, and life.
This is a long book so I’m going to give you until after the New Year to finish it. Happy holidays!
