Passion S02E17 - Calendar writes a computer program to translate the gypsy curse to restore Angel’s soul - Buffy doesn’t really forgive her, but forgives her enough so Giles can be with her again so he’s not lonely -
But really, it’s all about the heightened threat of Angel. He’s
taunting Buffy and Willow by leaving pictures of them sleeping in their
rooms. He’s threatening Buffy by stalking her mom and that’s where the
shit hits the fan. - Miss
Calendar’s death: She posed a serious threat to Angel. Placing her body
in Giles’ bedroom and all the buildup with the wine, music, roses and
note that says “Upstairs” is really, really demented. -
Giles blindly decides to kill Angel after he kills Miss Calendar. Buffy
chooses to rescue Giles instead of continue to fight Angel. But she was
gunning for him and was ready to kill him. - What is Angel trying to do? Torture Buffy and drive her mad like Drusilla? Turn her into a vampire? Angel’s
monologue about passion: Even without the conscience, is he still in
love with Buffy and he’s just acting out like a stupid boy because a
tough vampire can’t admit he likes the slayer? When Buffy says Angel is
nothing like the man she knew, Willow says, “Well, sort of. Except
you’re still the only thing he thinks about.” -
Funny Cordelia wants the spell on her car. “I’m so scared, I had to
talk my grandmother into switching cars with me last night.” - Funny kids who try to use the library to look for a book on Stalin. - Funny Willow hiding the crosses in her room because she’s Jewish. - Spike is getting “brassed off” at Angel. Killed by Death S02E18 - Buffy has the flu and has to stay at the hospital where she finds a demon is killing kids! -
Angel’s threat moves to the background – Buffy lands in the hospital
after fighting Angel, Xander guards her room from Angel, and Angel
visits the hospital and Xander stands up to him because he’s in a
hospital full of people. -
Buffy discovers she can only see the demon who kills kids when she has
a fever, so she gets a fever and then kills him. He’s really scary! His
eyeballs come out of their sockets and attach to kids’ heads like
suction cups. Next: S02E19 “I Only Have Eyes for You” and S02E20 “Go Fish”
